Toyohari Japanese Meridian Therapy
Toyohari is a highly refined and specialized system of Japanese acupuncture therapy.
Its treatment methods, although based upon the same theoretical foundation as Traditional Chinese Medicine, are quite different. Most notably, Toyohari is renowned for its extremely delicate and painless needling techniques. In fact, since the needles often do not even penetrate the skin at all, you may not even realize that there are any needles being used. It strives to correct the root cause of your ailment, not just alleviate the symptoms. The treatment strategy is based upon palpation of the patient's meridian lines, abdomen and radial pulses. Therefore every session is completely unique and created specifically for the needs of each patient. The Toyohari Association was founded in Japan by blind acupuncturists in 1959. Today their specialized methods of treatment and extremely sensitive palpation skills are being taught and practiced by both sighted and blind acupuncturists alike. To learn more about the association please visit their web site at www.toyohari.org. Japanese Acupuncture is still relatively new in the U.S., but gaining in popularity due to its painless techniques and exceptional results. Toyohari is a powerful therapeutic method for both preventing disease as well as healing an already manifested ailment. The emphasis of each treatment is to strengthen your constitutional vitality and to stimulate your own innate healing powers, as well as to give you relief of your symptomatic ailments. Mitchell Wolf, L.Ac., is a member of the Toyohari Association of North America and Japan. |
