Mitchell
Wolf, L. Ac. Mitchell Wolf is a diplomat and nationally board certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and a New York State Licensed Acupuncturist. Additionally, he is member of the Toyohari Association of North America and Japan and is a practitioner of Toyohari Japanese Meridian Therapy. He graduated from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 1996 where he is currently a faculty member. Mitchell's study of the Oriental healing arts began in 1974, at the age of 16. He became a direct disciple and instructor of the Wu Mei style of internal Kung Fu. In 1982, Mitchell met Shiatsu Master Wataru Ohashi and became a practitioner and a senior instructor at the Ohashi Institute. He taught the Ohashiatsu method of Japanese acupressure for over 20 years in New York City and Europe. For many years, Mitchell was a private student of Master Chen Shou Ren in Yang style Tai Chi Chuan. Mitchell continues to practice the Yang long form, sword and saber forms as taught to him by his late master. In the early 1980's, Mitchell began to study Iyengar Yoga. He continues his practice today and is certified as a Vinyasa Yoga teacher. In 2002 he traveled to Pune, India to study directly with the Iyengar family. |
